Ozone Falls, TN

Ozone Falls - about 100 feet tall.

Just east of Crossville, TN on I-40 East take exit number 329 toward US 70/ Crab Orchard.  Turn left after exiting on to Market Street.  Then in about 0.2 miles turn right onto US 70 East.  Go 4.6 miles to the parking area.  There will be a sign for the parking area.  The hike to the base is no more than 0.2 miles.

We swung by this last waterfall on the way home Sunday.  It is a really quick trip off of I-40 and well worth it.  I think for the waterfall and surrounding area this was my favorite of the trip.  Plus the conditions were perfect for taking pictures.

Once you park there is a sign for the trail to the plunge pool that follows the road.  When you come to the guard rail turn left and climb down the bank.  It is a very quick walk and climb down to a beautiful view.  There were also two other trails that both led to the top of the falls.  You cant really get a good view of the falls from there unless you walk completely to the edge.  I choose not to get too close since the rocks were wet from the rain and my wife always expects me to fall. Below is a picture of how close I would get.

This area really was gorgeous and you can walk very close to the falls.  We got there early in the morning and had the place to ourselves.  I could tell it was a popular area though from the spray paint on the rock wall and many beer cans and garbage along the trail.  I will never understand how anyone can purposely trash an area this beautiful.
