Spoonauger Falls, SC

Coming from Walhalla, SC drive 8 miles northwest and go right onto SC 107.  In 10.4 miles you will turn left onto Burrell's Ford Rd.  At about 3 miles you come to the Burrell's Ford Campground.  Go just past this to the parking area and trailhead.

The hike was an easy 15 minutes to the falls.  After a quick stroll along the Chattooga River a sign pointed us to the falls.  The bright sun and little water flow made it difficult to get any decent shots.

Visiting Spoonauger in the summer was not the most ideal time.  Add in the drought that year and you get a not so impressive picture.  I imagine this waterfall would look a lot better after a decent rain, but with the easy hike it is worth a quick trip anytime of year.
