Crabtree Falls is located near Little Switzerland, NC at the Crabtree Meadows Recreation Area off of the Blue Ridge Parkway ( MP 339.5). It is about a 2 mile loop to see the 70 ft. falls.
Crabtree Falls is a beautiful and very popular waterfall. I would like it even better if it wasn't so popular. We visited on a weekend and it was packed. The hike is relatively easy and level and the trail is very well maintained. When you reach the falls there is a bridge at the base to view the falls and a bench to sit and relax. The waterfall has a unique look in how the water flows down the rock branching off in many directions. This is definitely one to see and cross off your list.
